NSA Holdings, Inc. announced that it had completed the sale of certain assets in the winding down of the company formerly known as North State Aviation. The company went through a bid process to liquidate its inventory, tooling and equipment after it announced its closing in late March 2017. Gary Smith, North State President and CEO said: "We are happy to report that the assets of North State have been purchased by members of the former management team. North State Aviation Holdings LLC, a newly created entity, was the successful bidder and had the full support of the Airport Commission of Forsyth County".

Charlie Creech, President of North State Aviation Holdings LLC said; "Our acquisition of the assets represents a strategic opportunity for the new North State to offer maintenance, repair and overhaul services to the aviation industry. Airport Commission Chairman Scott Piper and the members of the Airport Commission of Forsyth County were instrumental in helping us get to this point". Scott Piper said; "We are all excited about the future of aviation in Winston-Salem and look forward to airplanes and employees once again occupying 4001 North Liberty Street".
